Ross Inman, PhD
Editor, Philosophia Christi, Associate Professor of Philosophy, Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary
Ross D. Inman is Associate Professor of Philosophy at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (Wake Forest, NC) as well as the editor of Philosophia Chisti. He holds an M.A. in Philosophy and an M.A. in Theology from Talbot School of Theology (Biola University) and completed his Ph.D. in Philosophy at Trinity College, Dublin (Ireland). He is a former Research Fellow at the University of Notre Dame, Center for Philosophy of Religion and Saint Louis University. His research to date has focused primarily on themes in metaphysics, philosophy of religion, and analytic theology and has appeared in Philosophical Studies, American Philosophical Quarterly, Philosophia Christi, Oxford Studies in Philosophy of Religion, and Metaphysica. He was awarded the 2014 Marc Sanders Prize in Philosophy of Religion. His 2018 book Substance and the Fundamentality of the Familiar: A Neo-Aristotelian Mereology was published in the series Routledge Studies in Metaphysics.
Ross has been an active member of the Evangelical Philosophical Society since 2007 and has contributed to both regional and national meetings and served on the executive committee from 2013-2016. He is deeply committed to equipping the church in the task of creating a cultural milieu that is increasingly receptive to the truth, goodness, and beauty of the Gospel. He is married to his high school sweetheart, Suzanne, and (both natives of San Diego) and together they have the joy of raising their three young children Hudson, Declan, and Verity. When he’s not engaged in teaching and writing philosophy, he enjoys traveling, hiking, running, coffee, reading dead theologians, and spending precious time with his family and learning to become more faithful follower and student of Jesus of Nazareth.
